Hi I'm Josh Hennessy

I'm an Artist. I love to draw and listen ska. I played waterpolo in highschool, my home is in California, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

Okay first things first. I was Born in Chino California and If you don't know about it, well you're missing out broseph (or dudette depending on your gender). I have never once in my personal life settled for being average. I love to be a part of everything and one of my goals in life is to be a true Renaissance man. Being LDS has only helped me in my life. It's helped me become a better person in all aspects of my humanity. Being an Eagle Scout helps as well. I love art and diligently practice everyday, along with scripture study of course. I hope to make my Art into a career one day, but that'll have to wait for now. I'm currently on a mission in Pocatello Idaho and I'm lovenzitz.

Why I am a Mormon

I may have been born into the faith, but I did not gain a witness of it's truth until much later in life. I can trully say that that Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church on the face of the Earth today. How can I know this? Everyone has a conversion story my friend, even if they met a missionary on the street or was born into the faith. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is true because of diligent study, prayer, and exercising my own faith. If I could say one thing to anyone who is investigating the church and reading this profile is that the only way you can know for yourself is if you pray with a sincere heart, a real intent to know if it is true, and faith in Jesus Christ. It's either true or false, and I know that our Heavenly Father will give you the answer of it's truthfulness by the power of the Holy Ghost. I can never understand why anyone would turn away The Book of Mormon without reading it. It says it's another testimony of Jesus Christ and all it asks is that you read it and pray. May no man or woman ever turn away from this pure and true gospel. I am a Mormon, because every teaching is entirely centered on Christ. It is all an appendage of Him and his atoning sacrifice. Every day I here and learn something new, and yet it all is so comfortably familiar that it's almost as if I've known it before I ever was here in this life. I know that the teachings of Christ are not only "good ideas", but eternal truths.

How I live my faith

In the Book of Deuteronomy, about once a chapter it says "Keep the Commandments", and since God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, that's what I intend to do. The same message of "Keep the Commandments" repeated in the Book of Mormon. Ether 12:27 is all about how we can make our weaknesses into strength. The Lord gives us our weakness so that we may be humble, and through our humility we gain strength. I live my faith, by actually living it. Religion is not just a Sunday thing, it's a life thing, and I know that is the way God intended it to be. Being LDS does not mean that you are perfect but with the knowledge that I have I know that through the Atonement of Christ I can be made perfect. It just takes a bit of time to get there, like a seed that needs to be watered everyday until it grows and brings forth great fruit. Live in moderation, help those in need, give when you can, be bold, keep those you love close and love as much as you can. Pierce the heavens!
