Hi I'm Jackie

I was born in Boston, Massachusetts but spent most of my early life in Milton Washington. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I moved quite often because my father was in the Navy during WW2. I had short stays in Hawaii and California. I graduated from Fife High School in Fife Washington and then went on to graduate from Bates College. I have worked as a dental technician and an office manager. After my husband retired we both drove school buses for about 5 years. We have three daughters and 11 grandchildren. We have a great grandson on the way which we are very happy and excited about.

Why I am a Mormon

The church I was attending could never really resolve spiritual questions I had especially about Jesus and his relationship to his father and us here on earth. One of the dentists I worked with was a Mormon and I really admired the relationship he and his family had with each other. After spending just a little time listening to the gospel lessons with the missionaries, I knew the answers to my questions and I was ready to enter into baptism waters. I have never regretted that decision.

How I live my faith

I love to read and study the scriptures. I work in the main church women s organization and enjoy organizing and leading other women s groups in the area. I love to work in the area of the church where we help people who are having a hard time by providing them with food and other supplies as directed. I enjoy helping families with food and needed supplies and to see their spirits lifted and edified by my efforts. I think I get spiritual gifts and feelings of satisfaction doing the Lords work for people less fortunate than I. I support and assist my husband in his many church callings. I try to use my talents as best I can to add joy to others I meet. I do my best to be a positive example to my extended family and other people I meet. I am always willing to share the gospel and it's message with anyone who will listen. I love going to the LDS temples and participating in services there. We have been fortunate to have visited many of the temples in the United States. We hope to go to more and maybe even ones outside the USA someday.
