Hi I'm Judy Luckow

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was raised in the Catholic Faith and educated in Catholic Schools from Kindergarten through Graduate School. I spent 18 years of my life as a member of a religious order, The Felician Sisters, based out of Chicago, Illinois. My life was dedicated to my Savior, Jesus Christ, and to teaching the elementary school children in the Catholic parishes to which I was assigned. I also enjoyed serving as organist and children's choir director.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was happy in my Church activity as a Catholic, something was missing. I yearned for a deeper spirituality. A friend who had joined the Mormon Church visited me with the Mormon Missionaries and brought me The Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants to read for myself. I experienced a profound outpouring of the Spirit and a sure knowledge that indeed there has been a restoration of the pure Gospel and Church of Jesus Christ in these latter days. My membership in this Church has given me a much deeper appreciation and love for my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, as well as a deeper understanding of my purpose in life. There is a great feeling of love and support from other Church members as well as constant opportunities to grow spiritually and to render service to others. A very wholesome, happy way of life!

How I live my faith

Daily scripture reading and attending Church meetings faithfully has helped strengthen my faith and my desire to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have enjoyed serving others in my Church callings: Visiting Teaching my fellow Sisters, teaching Sunday School and Primary classes, serving as organist, chorister and music chairman. In my calling as a Family History Consultant I enjoy helping other people to connect with their ancestors and build their Family Trees.
