Hi I'm Fred

I love books. I love food. I love taking naps. I'm a husband and a father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband to a wonderful wife, and a father to four beautiful children. I currently work at a software company that helps people see and understand their data. In my spare time, I love to read and to collect books about virtually everything. I also enjoy having good conversations with others about life and ideas. And I continue to pursue perfecting the art of napping.

Why I am a Mormon

For as long as I can remember, I've believed in the existence of God. When I learned about the church and heard His gospel, the words rang true in my heart and mind. Then I prayed about what I was learning from the missionaries and from others in the church, and I received a confirmation from God that all of it was true. To this day, I still receive those confirmations as I live my life, usually when I need them the most, during times of struggle or hardship. Those promptings from God help me to get through those hard times, to have faith, and to remember that I am a child of God, that He loves me, and that I have a purpose here on earth. This knowledge brings me joy and comfort and meaning to my life.

How I live my faith

I strive to live the principles of my faith by being the best husband and father that I can be, by participating in church and community service projects, and by being a friend to others. I live my faith by loving and serving those with whom I associate, doing what I can to bring a little happiness into their lives.
