Hi I'm Arleen

I am Puerto Rican, a Fashion Designer, and I am Mormon!

About Me

What can I say about myself? I was born in Puerto Rico on July 10, 1982. My mother was a single mother raising three girls. I never got to see my mother due to her working so much to provied for her girls. My life was hard as I turned 8, my oldest sister ran away from home and then a few years later so did my middle sister. The two oldest ones have the same dad, but I was from a different father. There was never any disliking between us, my mother always told us that we needed to love each other. The pain my mother went thourgh when my sisters left was hard for me to deal with, I was young and didn't understand. As I got older I did many things in high school, that helped me forget about what I had to deal with back home. I was a mucis major in high school, so that kept my mind active. I attened the All City High School Choir of Chicago and had a chance to go to Austria in 1998. I did go to church, but not lds, after seeing how the people in this church treated me and pushed me away, not allowing me to do my calling, I left and walked away from the church that I was goin to at that time. Not God but the church... Between 16 thur 27 I went thur a lot. I almost lost my mother in November of 2000 I was 18 and in my last year of high school. I went thourgh a lot of heartache and break ups that were not healthy choices and made a lot of mistake. I was getting so hurt that I almost gave up in life. The Summer of 2010 my life change when I became apart of the lds on Aug 14, 2010..

Why I am a Mormon

On 08/14/2010 I became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints. I'm LDS because I KNOW that this is the truth, and there is no other way around it! I went to the Salt Lake for the first time on Oct 29 thur Nov 11 2011 and I was turly blessed. I did my 1st baptizm in the Salt Lake Temple on 11/10//2011 with a Limited Rec, it was amazinng. That time in there made me feel more at peace that I made the right choice, that I did " CHOOSE THE RIGHT " to live with my Heavenly Father and I just want to live in His path always and forever.

How I live my faith

As a convert, I still have my battles but I just remember that I have a promise that was given to me and I have to keep myself on the right path. By listening to music, I read the gospel and attending church on sunday.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Arleen
A church can't be guided without a living prophet, because without that the world would be in a worst state then what it is right now. Show more Show less
