Hi I'm David Perkinson

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married with 6 children. I enjoy golfing, hiking and being outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a Mormon my whole life. I have received a witness from the Holy Ghost that God lives and loves me, that His son, Jesus Christ, is the Savior of the world and that they appeared to a young man named Joseph Smith in 1820 and began the process of restoring the true church of Jesus Christ to the earth. I've read The Book of Mormon several times and know it is a true book of scripture. Jesus still directs His church today through a living prophet. His prophet today is Thomas S Monson. I am thankful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and for the knowledge I have of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to follow the example that Jesus set for us as taught in The Holy Bible and also The Book if Mormon. When I follow His example of giving love and service to our fellow men, I feel closer to Him.

What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

David Perkinson
As taught in the Book of John in the New Testament, all of God's children need to be 'born of the water and the spirit' to inherit eternal life with our Heavenly Father. This is called Baptism and is an ordinance performed by someone who holds the Priesthood which is the authority of God to act in His name. Show more Show less
