Hi I'm Brandy

"You can tell more about a person by what he says about others than you can by what others say about him." - Leo Aikman

About Me

I love to read, watercolor & oil paint, spend time with my family, and learn in both college & church. In December of 2011, I will only have one year left of a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Crime Scene Investigations.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the church but for several reasons, ended up falling away from the church for many years. I have returned to church at this point in my life and I can honestly say, I feel like I am home again. There is a sense of peace & purpose in my life once again and I feel like there is not a feeling of something missing in life. I am now getting ready to go through one of our holy temples & I am SO thrilled to be making this positive choice in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to set the example for not only my family & friends but to all those around me. I serve the young girls at my local community services which is known as a "ward". The girls I work with are aged 8-11 years old & have been such a blessing in my life. The Lord has truly blessed me. Even in times when I have not felt worthy of deserving His love, he has never given up on me. Whenever I doubt or wonder, He lets me know by way of sending his spirit to warm my heart & quell negative thoughts with just a simple prayer. Anyone is capable of feeling his love if only they turn to him and ask of it.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Brandy
Definitely not. In fact many humanitarian missions are undertaken throughout the year by not only the church itself but by countless Mormon church members. An example of this would be the recent earthquake Haiti. Most Mormon people know that God has told us to love all our neighbors, not only our Mormon ones. Show more Show less
