Hi I'm Michelle

I'm a wife. I'm a Mother of 4. I'm a Dance Teacher. I'm a California Girl. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my High school sweet heart for 13 years. I have 4 amazing Children! My oldest Son has Autism and has taught me more about life than any book can! I have been teaching Dance for 17 years and cannot imagine my life without Dance. I was raised in the Church in Southern California. I am a true California Girl through and through! Yes, I say the word “like” a lot, I own a million pairs of flip flops, and I love In-N-Out!!! But the most important thing in the world to me is my Family! I am so grateful to know that I am sealed to them for all Eternity!

Why I am a Mormon

If someone asked you if the sky was blue would you say yes? How do you know it’s blue? You just do right! Well, I have known all my life that Jesus Christ is my Brother, my Savior, my Redeemer. I know that we existed before we came to earth. I know that Jesus Christ came to this earth and that He atoned for my sins and was resurrected. I know that we will all live again because of Him! After knowing all that, why the Mormon Church? Because I can’t stand putting together a puzzle and having any missing pieces! I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has all the pieces to the puzzle of Life. I know that there is a plan for all of us and that through making and keeping sacred covenants we will all have the opportunity to fulfill that plan.

How I live my faith

We attend church as a family every Sunday. We read scriptures and have family prayers together every night. With my busy Dance schedule it helps bring us together as a family each day. We also have a "Family Night" every week. We all look forward to it because we know it's our time to be together, no phone calls, no one running out the door to practice, no TV, just us. We love to play games together, to sing together, and to have that special time to teach our children about the things in life that are important to us. Like prayer, faith, honesty, or serving others! Some of our favorite memories as a family involve times where we were serving others. In my professional life my faith has helped me to rise above what may be considered "trendy" or "new" in the dance world. I have a strong belief that a young women does not need to show off her body in a barely there costumes or move her body in inappropriate ways to be an amazing dancer! I have always taught my dancers that what’s in your heart and your countenance will always show through in your dancing and so it is important to be the best person you can be! I have always wanted to be a mother and the Lord has blessed me with 4 beautiful children of my own. But I have always felt especially blessed that I have had the chance to be a Dance "Mom" to hundreds of kids and teens over the years. And I Love it!

What is being a Mormon like?

Michelle
My Husband is the only member in his family, he converted to the church when he was 18. And although I was raised in the church I am now the only one of my 4 siblings that is a member of the church. From looking at it in that perspective I would say being a Mormon is Peaceful! My husband and I have the Peace of knowing why we are here and what God has planned for us. With our strong belief in family we have the Peace of knowing that we have the chance to be with them for eternity. Being Mormon has taught us about finding the Joy in life! We are able to see all the ways in which you can be blessed by following the commandments, serving others and loving one another. Show more Show less
