Hi I'm Camie Riggs

I'm a wife and a mother, a dental receptionist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Some of my favorite things that I love are: Being a wife of 23years, a mother of 3 wonderful children ages 21,18,15 yrs. I enjoy reading books, writing poetry and most anything! Riding horses and quads. I like to watch movies and play video games. I also enjoy playing with my children- like going to the lake and waterskiing or tubing, playing board games-like ticket to ride or Phase 10 and pretty much whatever we feel up to doing. I love to travel I have been to England,France,Canada,Alaska and most of the western united states. There are still so many places I would still love to see. I hope to see more of the world as a missionary couple with my husband some day. I currently have a son who is serving a mission. I have attended college but I have not yet finished. I have been in the work force for most of my married life some of the jobs I have had are Clothing sales, Day care/Nanny, Home care or Maid service, Faux finishing and currently a receptionist for a dental office.

Why I am a Mormon

I am grateful for my membership in the church of Jesus Christ of latterday Saints. My mother is a convert to the church and as a young child she always served as an example to me why we should never take our membership for granted. She joined the church soon after marrying my father. It was the loss of a son and the blessings of comfort that came from her knowlege of the gospel, that layed the first layer of foundation in her testimony. Knowing I have a brother in heaven that I have never met here in this life pushes me to always try to do my best. I believe that families were meant to be together forever, and I can not wait to be reunited with him someday. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is true, In my life I have experienced hardships (myself or a family member) like loss of employment, loss of family members, loss of a home, physical and mental illness, Drug & physical abuse, and poor life choices. All of these things would seem unbearable.... the thing is through all those experiences one thing helped me to carry on. That was my faith in the Savior. I knew and know that everyday of my life he loves me and you and all of his children. That he knows everything we will go through and have been through. I know that his Atonement covers all these things and more if we will believe in him. We were not meant to live this life alone or in dispair. How do I know this, Through the scriptures and attending my meetings and serving others. Why am I a mormon, because the principles in which the church is founded upon has brought me peace, joy and great happiness and I can't imagine my life any differently.

How I live my faith

I am currently helping teach Sunday School to 12-13 year olds. I am also a visiting Teacher. My husband and I love to help cater food- We have helped cook for girls camps, youth conferences, scout camps, volleyball awards dinners, proms, homecoming and Annual stake fall Rodeo gathering. We also serve in the booster club for our daughters Orchestra class, we have previously helped with Volleyball, basketball, 4-H & FFA. We love to help with eagle Scout projects. We continue to help and serve the youth in our ward and stake any way that we can.
