Hi I'm Sharon

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother of six, and grandmother to 11 of the best grandchildren. I have worked in a construction office for the past 15 years. I love to sew and make quilts for my family. Just being with my family gives me the most joy.

Why I am a Mormon

Although my parents were members and my grandparents also; I chose to be a member. After graduating from high school, the majority of my friends chose to go to a church owned college. I could not see myself there and wanted more diversity. I chose to attend Gonzaga University, a catholic university. It was there that I sought to know for myself if everything I had been taught was true or not.It was while I was there that I was able to witness for myself people who did not believe in a God and those who believed differently that I.I knew that I my make that decision for myself. After searching for the answers I received the answers to my prayers. I knew that I am a daughter of a Heavenly Father, and he loves me. I knew that Christ in reality died for my sins and paved the way for me to return to live with him again. Since that time my testimony of the Gospel has grown and I search and pray. The answers are always there. The gospel of Jesus Christ has all the answers to questions I have had through out my life. It gives my life more meaning than just being born and and death. I have always searched for the logic in things. The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-saints is logical and simple to me. I know that I am not here on this earth by change, but my life has a purpose.I have witnessed the change that the gospel brings to people's lives and I know that with God all things are possible.

How I live my faith

After my time and Gonzaga University, I chose to serve a mission. I was called to serve in Central America. I cannot say that every moment was enjoyable, but the experience as a whole changed me. It was there that I gained a stronger Testimony of the gospel and learned to love and serve and Jesus taught. Since that time I have had many opportunities to teach and serve. I have served in very small branches in Texas and Kansas and large wards in Utah & Idaho. I love working with the youth and help them to know just who they are. Currently My husband and I are assigned to a very small Spanish branch...and we love it. What I most enjoy are the testimonies of others...for it strengthens mine. I have learned that I do not know it all...there is always more that the Lord wants me to learn.
