Hi I'm Lily

I'm a 32 year old Mother of 4, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi guys! My name is Lily and I am 32 years old. I live in Utah. I am wife to Shawn, and am mother to 4 very beautiful children. I have 3 fantastic boys and 1 precious daughter. I am a local elite Utah road racer. I love to run and am passionate about it. I find happiness in being athletic and taking care of the body I've been given. I play the piano and enjoy sitting down and playing beautiful music as well as teaching my children to sing and enjoy music as well. I am the 8th of 10 children born to my parents. My Mom is an LDS convert and Scottish immigrant. My Dad served an LDS mission to Scotland, and there he met my Mom. I love my Scottish heritage. More often than not you can find me baking things in the kitchen or creating things of beauty. I love to decorate, paint or rearrange things. I have a lot of fun with my friends. I enjoy and love the life I've been given.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I am not a convert, I feel like I had a 'reconversion' at the age of 20. After going through a very difficult period in my life. At 19 I became pregnant out of wedlock, and I waffled in my testimony of the gospel. I was a very lost girl. After the birth of my son, I looked into his beautiful face and realized with each passing day that I needed to get my life in order and follow my Savior. Then one morning I knelt down and said a prayer for the first time in nearly 2 years. I asked heavenly father for his help and blessings. I asked him to send me a husband to take care of and protect my Son and I. I felt the fiery burn of the spirit in my soul that morning. It was not even week later that I began to see marvelous answers to my prayers, almost unfolding in my lap. It became a witness to me, in those very moments, that God sees me, hears me, and loved me enough to answer my prayers. I began to search the scriptures each day. I read ensign articles and spent many more mornings and evenings in fervent prayer. I wanted to be the daughter of God I once was. And truly the atonement of the Savior became a real and living thing in my life. He loved me enough to suffer, bleed and die for me. He is my Master, my Redeemer and my loving friend. Everything in my life always seems to come back to him. He knows me, he knows you. And he will never forsake us, even in our darkest hours.

How I live my faith

I attend Church and partake of the sacrament. I read and study my scriptures. I kneel in prayer each day. I really try to be a friend to all. And because I am imperfect, I utilize the power of the atonement when needed. I do my best to keep the commandments of God.
