Hi I'm Ashley

I'm a new wife, a recent college graduate, and a home ec teacher. I love sewing and college basketball. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recently married, recently graduated from college, Home Ec teacher. Life has brought many new adventures. I love my husband, anything crafty, laughing, and being outdoors. And college basketball is my favorite thing to watch.

Why I am a Mormon

As a child I remember reading my "Easy-reader Book of Mormon"...the kind with the pictures. I remember getting to 3 Nephi when the Savior appears to the people in the Americas. A feeling came to me that I knew Jesus Christ truly appeared to these people, and that He is my Savior. That testimony continued to grow as I learned more about the Gospel and tried to live it in my own life. Through the happy times and the hard times I've found that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is my rock. It's the foundation in my life that brings me the greatest happiness. I've come to find out that I am a daughter of a Heavenly Father, who loves me more than words can describe. I've learned that I am known personally by Him and Jesus Christ; and as I strive each day I can feel the Holy Ghost leading me. I've learned that Heavenly Father has a perfect plan for each of our lives, if we choose to be humble and let Him guide us, no matter how hard it may be at times. The Gospel is true and it provides happiness. The Book of Mormon holds all answers when we search with a prayer in our hearts. They are truly the words of God. I couldn't me more grateful to have this Gospel as the foundation of my life.

How I live my faith

Going to church each week is awesome. It is a place where you have instant friends with people who are similar to you. In our church we have an organization of women that meet together for an hour. I have learned so much from meeting with these women each week. I have learned so much from these women- they have become my inspiration and my friends. People that I probably would not have been friends with or otherwise met are some of my closest associates. I've learned that I am so happy when I take time out of my day to serve these women and really get to know them and ask them about things that are going on in their lives. Who doesn't like having friends that care? A truly inspired program. This Gospel is more than just going to church on Sundays, it's a network of people you can turn to in times of need. It's friends that are there, who care about you. It's their example of how to live the Gospel that make your life better.
