Hi I'm Coleman

I'm a college student. I'm a Virginian. I'm a dreamer. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up an active child. I live and breath sports, and music. To me there is nothing more relaxing than sitting down and watching college basketball. I love to drum; it is my passion. It's through my music that I can express who I am, what I believe, and how I feel. There is nothing more exhilarating than having people respond positively to the music I play. I served a mission to Everett, Washington, and I am currently a college student studying accounting. I've traveled the world, and seen America. And I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up I always relied upon the belief - or testimony - of others. I never had my own. After making mistakes in life, I felt a strong desire to draw closer to God. I worked to receive a testimony and then served a full-time two year mission to Everett, Washington. It was there as a missionary that my testimony grew and blossomed into what it is today. Why am I a Mormon? Because everything that the Lord teaches us in His church, is 100 percent correct. Everywhere I look I see evidences of the truth of what I have learned. Compared to the period of my life when I did not follow the teachings of the Church as strictly as I should have, this current period of strict adherence to the laws and ordinances of the gospel has brought me immense joy. Righteous living has brought me happiness and I'm a Mormon so I can further perpetuate that happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by simply trying to emulate Jesus Christ. The Church and its' doctrines may seem complex but truly the greatest thing which any of us can do to live our faith is by following Jesus Christ. In my local congregation I teach a class about the scriptures to other young adults. I also visit the homes of several other church members once a month to teach them a gospel lesson and to love and serve them as the Savior did. I live my faith by following the words of Christ, and the words of our modern day Prophets and Apostles.
