Hi I'm Julie.

I'm a wife, a new mother to 2 preschoolers, and a former elementary school teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life. I am happily married to my greatest friend and have two amazing boys that keep my days quite busy. I enjoy reading, crocheting, and almost everything that comes with homemaking. I am a list-maker, a goal-setter, a children's-book-reader, but not an outdoor person. Although I have spent time in other places and love to go on vacations with my family, I am thankful to live in Indiana, with all 4 beautiful seasons. I have taught elementary school for 11 years and am a graduate of BYU. My greatest joys are centered around spending time with and managing my family. My life is simple and crazy all at the same time, but mostly it is full of love and I am grateful.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and the joys that come from trying my best to live it. The scriptures and the words of our latter-day apostles and prophets have taught me so much about my dearest roles in life, that of being a wife and a mother. I can't imagine raising my boys and managing my home without the guidance that I feel from my Father in Heaven. I am continually thankful for the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ and that because of His Atonement, I can repent and change. I love the peace that comes, even in hard times, in striving to be more like Him.

How I live my faith

Living my faith begins in my home. I try daily to study His word and to talk with HIm. My husband and I also read scriptures and pray with our children each day. One evening a week is devoted to family. During this time, we sing together, pray together, have a simple lesson about the gospel of Jesus Christ together, play together, and end it with a yummy treat. I am also currently blessed to serve the Lord by serving his daughters in our church's women's organization. It is in serving in this capacity that I have come to know just how special God's daughters are to Him.
