Hi I'm Kent

I'm from Rexburg Idaho. I am serving a full-time mission in Raleigh North Carolina, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Rexburg Idaho a few blocks down from BYUI. while i was there, i worked at a restaurant as a cook. I loved to play basketball, hang out with my friends and family, go to the temple, and play video games. My family consist of me, my mom and dad, my little bother, a sister that lives in Utah who is 2 yrs older than me, and another sister who is married and has two sons who are both younger than 4. I also have a half brother on my dads side that lives in North Carolina where i a am serving a full time mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and i always just believed in what people told me. but as i grew up, i wanted to know if being a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints would give me the most joy I could have. In our church we believe that the Book of Mormon is the proof why our church is true. It is the key stone of our religion. So i decided to read it and find out for myself if it is true or not. after i prayed about it... I then found for myself that it was true. Then I thought, "if this is true, then Joseph Smith had to have been a prophet of god and that all the claims after, were also true." through studying, praying and searching for answers, i have found for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is god's kingdom on the earth and is the way for us to have the most amount of joy we can have. This knowledge has governed my faith and many actions. One of those actions is my choice to serve an honorable full time mission.

How I live my faith

I show my faith by doing what the scriptures and church leaders have told me to do. some of those things are, reading my scripture, praying, going to church, keeping the commandments, and helping others come unto Christ so they can know how to live life in a way that will make them the most happy.
