Hi I'm Joshua

I grew up in Layton, UT. I teach snowboarding lessons, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 21 years old, currently serving a mission in North Carollina to help invite people to come unto christ. That isn't everything thought. I am an adrenaline addict. I love extreme sports like snowboarding, wakeboarding, cliff jumping, rock climbing, surfing, and whatever else makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. If there is anything someone is to afraid to do, you'll find me there ready to get it done. I am a science lover. Anything that is cosmic and hard to understand, I want to learn about it. I've always dreamed of becoming a theorist, a psycologist, or anything that has to do with the mind or mysteries of space and time. I am a hands on learner. Books and I usually don't get along super well. Dont give me a book on how an engine works... give me an engine and i'll write you a book about how it works. I love family, especially my family. I'm the youngest of five, two older brothers and two older sisters. We all get along well, and my parents have always built our home as a place of love and peace. A place where we can all come together and be happy and learn from one another. To me, life is a mystery... and its a mystery that I plan to solve.

Why I am a Mormon

A few years ago, I would have had trouble answering this question. I was born as a mormon, but that doesn't mean I wasn't converted to the gospel on my own. As a young man, I lived my life as any normal young man would. I made friends, wen't on dates, got in trouble a few times and learned from my mistakes like everyone else. Although I grew up in a home that was lead by the gospel of Jesus Christ, I never knew or had a testimony of all the things that I'd been taught all my life. I've heard people say that Utah is the Mormon breeding ground, and that is kind of true. For me, however, and probably for many other mormons who grew up in Utah, I definatlly had to gain my own story and testimony of the truth. When I turned 19, I gained the desire to truely study the gospel. I learned the doctrines, the principles, and I decided to act on the faith I had in Jesus Christ and his gospel and embrace the lifestyle he would have me live. Like I said before, I lived a normal boys life up until this time, so like everyone, I had a history of things that I needed to repent of. The process was hard, but over a year and a half of hard work, faith, and devotion, I finaly had the relief from the guilt and the burden that I had been carrying with me for my whole life. I'm a mormon because I've put to test the doctrines and principles that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints teaches, that god teaches. I've recieved the blessings that are promised, and i've learned for myself the truthfulness of this gospel through the holy spirit, who is the holy ghost. This is the true Church of Jesus Christ, and I cannot and will not deny it, ever.

How I live my faith

I try and live my Faith everyday by being an example of Jesus Christ and living his teachings. Currently I'm serving a mission for the Lord. I'm in a place where I've been called to serve by a living prophet who leads and guides God's true church today. I'm sharing my story, and teaching all those who will listen the message of the Restored Gospel so that they can enjoy the happiness and freedom that comes from living as our Savior would have us live. I serve because I love him, and I know that he loves me too. I know that he loves all his children, everysingle person who has lived, will live, and lives on this earth today.
