Hi I'm Joey

I grew up in a town called Alpine with 4 older siblings. I now move often for my dad's artistic job. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoyed making cars and toys from legos when I was younger. When I was 16 years old in 11th grade. I liked to mountain bike, read large novels, play with remote controlled cars, and daydream about designing my own car. I hope to have a future career in mechanics, preferably automotive, or aerospace engineering. I plan to get a bachelors degree or more in college studying subjects like physics, automotive design, and mechanical engineering. I have enjoyed living in Hawaii and learning to surf with my family and now I am excited to enter the MTC in a week!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family with very strong beliefs in the lds(mormon) church. For some time I went to church lifted up by my parents' and siblings' testimonies. There was never a single moment when I suddenly gained a testimony, it has built up more like a grain of sand at a time. Every time I went to church, read scriptures, prayed to God, or felt the slightest act of kindness that seemed to come from heavenly sources; it has added to my knowing of the existence of God the Father and Jesus Christ. Now, for me trying to deny that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true would be like saying I can live a long healthy life without any kind of food or water.

How I live my faith

I attend church meeting every sunday and help with my duties such as preparing the sacrament and once in awhile shoveling snow off the sidewalk to help make it safe for others to enter the church building. Every school day I attend early-morning seminary before school starts. It is a church class where high school students can deepen their understanding of the gospel. It helps me liven up for school and lets me have a good attitude thoughout the rest of the day.
