Hi I'm Lisa!

I am a new stay at home mom. I am a wife to a wonderful hard working man. I'm a runner and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I worked in the Parks and Recreation industry since I was 15 and just received my degree in Sport and Recreation management. I enjoy running, rock climbing and spending time with my family and friends. I struggled with PCOS for many years after marriage. My husband and I went through treatments and still were unable to concieve. I thought I could not have children. Now after six years of marriage I am a new stay at home mom to a wonderful daughter. She has brought my husband and I much joy! My parents are divourced and both remarried this past year which was quite a trial for me and my five siblings. However, we are so grateful to have had eachother to cling to and have grown so much closer through the experience.

Why I am a Mormon

I am not a Mormon because I was born into the faith. I am a Mormon because I know the gospel is true. It just makes since. I have always found answers and or comfort to my questions about life. The Lord has never let me down when I was sad or lonely and needed to know why or how something could happen. I am a Mormon because I love the way the gospel makes me feel. I love the empasis on family life and service. I am a Mormon because I know this is the Lords church. It is Christs church. Its teachings help us to be more like him. No one is perfect, save Jesus Christ, but we are given the pathway to walk. His gospel shows us the way we can follow to return to our Heavenly Father. I am a Mormon because the knowledge of the gospel gives me purpose.

How I live my faith

Since i havee worked for the community I live in, I have been given many opportunities to serve. I have been able to assist the Lake Authority, Coast Guard Auxillary, Quilters Guild, City Councel, and assist the City with events and programs offered. I have served in the church with the youth and LOVE to work with them and get to know them. They are wonderful youth and are great examples to me and their peers at school. I consider myself lucky to have been able to work with them on such a special level. I currently serve as choir director and also schedule the sabbath hymns and special musical numbers. I am very excited for this opportunity! I am currently planning the Christmas Program, this is proving to be a task but one that is helping me to grow which is SO fun! I am enjoying the learning experience.
