Hi I'm Jaci

I'm a day-dreamer. I'm an independent screenwriter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love creating stories. Whether in my head, on the page, or through video. I'm currently working as a part-time editor at a local news station, but I have great dreams of having my screenplays turned into big screen productions. I also love theater and I've been in numerous musicals throughout high school and college. But no matter what I'm up to, there's nothing I'd rather do than sit back and let my imagination take over.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm not going to lie, I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My parents converted to the gospel before my sisters and I were born. I was brought up praying, attending church, and reading the Book of Mormon. I'm so grateful for the foundation that my parents gave me, but I had to find out for myself that this was all true. I had many experiences growing up that confirmed my faith in this gospel and in the Book of Mormon, but my testimony came the strongest when I decided to serve a mission for the church. Before I left on my mission, I knew that if I was going to go from door to door, telling people that we have a living prophet, that the Book of Mormon is true, and that the gospel of Christ has been restored, I was going to have to KNOW it for myself. I had prayed about the Book of Mormon before, but one particular night, I thanked my Heavenly Father for its guidance and for the comfort it had always given me. It was that night that the Spirit bore witness to my heart and mind, more powerfully than ever, that the Book of Mormon IS true, that it is the word of God and that this is Christ's Church. My testimony of this gospel grows everyday and I know that God lives and that He loves His children. And that's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday. Recently I served a mission for the church in Ogden, Utah. On my mission, I bore my testimony of the gospel by talking to people on the streets and in their homes, and teaching at church. I loved my time as a missionary, but I am glad to be home and to be able to serve the Lord in a different way. I am the choir director at my church now. I love working with the choir to create music that will help others to feel the Spirit and God's love.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

As a missionary, I loved to teach about Jesus Christ, His Atonement, and the Spirit (or Holy Ghost). That's what the missionaries will teach when they visit you. They will teach about Christ, what He did, what He taught, but most importantly, how you can feel Him in your life. The missionaries will teach you ways that you can feel the Spirit everyday and how you can receive guidance from God for your life. Show more Show less
