Hi I'm Kyle

I am the fifth out of eight kids. I am a grief counselor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a graduate student studying counseling. My main focus is grief therapy. I currently work with children who have lost a parent, sibling or other family member to various types of death. It's beautiful to see how children demonstrate their grief, they do it mostly through play or creative media, and it is really neat to be able to witness and facilitate the process of their grief. I am single and I teach Sunday School. I love to sing and dance. I am creative and artistic, I love to make things out of wood, mostly furniture. I am a people person, I love to make people laugh and I am not afraid to cry at movies.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon is ingrained in my personality and encompasses many of the aspects of my life. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know it has the answers to any questions any child of God may have in this life. It is literally the same church Christ organized while he was here on the earth. My parents are also Mormon, so I was fortunate to be raised learning the teachings of the Savior, Jesus Christ. I remember feeling and knowing for myself that I was in the right place from an early age. The teachings of the church have helped me in making decisions that have shaped my life and helped me as I have reached several cruical crossroads throughout the years. It has not been an easy road, but knowing who I am, where I came from and where I am going helps me get through the rough spots. I know that God is our literal father, and we are His children. I know that He loves us and wants us to be happy. This life's purpose is to prepare us to return to his presence with our families. He has provided us all that we need to make that possible, He gave us the greatest gift, His Son, Jesus Christ. Through the perfect life and sacrifice provided for us by the Savior, we can receive forgiveness for the mistakes we make in this life. He will take on the heaviness of the trials, pains and sins we carry around. I know that we are not alone, we have families, prophets and apostles, and scriptures. I know keeping the commandments of God and living the teachings of Jesus Christ bring happiness and growth. I feel freedom and peace in my life as I live His commandments. I know we can pray and receive answers from a loving Father in Heaven. I know that the Book of Mormon compliments and supports the teachings of the Bible and that together they contain the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that this Gospel is found in the Mormon church.

How I live my faith

One of the greatest things I have ever accomplished was my missionary service in Cochabamba, Bolivia I have been a Sunday school teacher for the last five years. I love to teach out of the scriptures and share with others my testimony. I attend as many church social events as possible, dances, holiday celebrations, and other festivities.
