Hi I'm Steven

I am a guy who has Asperger's Syndrome, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 20 year old nerd that loves video games, science fiction, and Formula 1. I am also a war buff that has great respect for the millitary, and though I could never get into the millitary myself, I have been called a "Marine at heart." I enjoy a good laugh and have a lot of jokes that are "family heirlooms." I have recently gotten into a foam sword fighting sport called Belegarth.

Why I am a Mormon

I had a prenatal stroke (Before birth) that affects the right side of my body. At the age of 7, I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. Basically put, I don't have the best social skills, and words don't always come out the way I want them to. I was almost completely inactive in the church untill I went to Seminary-that is, early morning scripture study classes in high school-for the first time, After the first day, I fell in love with the Gospel. I had perfect attendance all four years. Gradually I started going to church more often. Now I am very active in the church.

How I live my faith

I have often said that I am on that list of people that God goes to when he needs something done and no one in the right mind would do it. I am constantly out there doing missionary work. I also try to keep the commandments as best I can. which, in reality, is all we can do isn't it?

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Because they love you and want you to know of the fullness of the gospel, and invite you to something that has helped them in their lives. At least that is why I will be going on a mission! Show more Show less
