Hi I'm Neil

I guess you could say I was born into the faith, but I have a testimony of my OWN. AND, YES, I'M A MORMON!

About Me

I am a 44 year old Granpa of 2 great little girls ages 5 and 4. I love to hunt, fish, hike, camp, or do pretty much anything outdoors. In the summer I do some gardening. In the winter I fish through the ice. I hunt spring and fall (and anytime inbetween I get a chance). I've hunted deer, elk, black bear, brown bear, turkey, upland birds, and wolves. I've been married to a sweet wife who has treated me like a king (most of the time, geez, she's not perfect yet) for almost 27 years. Together we have raised 3 wonderful children. Now that the kids are mostly raised, we raise chickens (eggs) and cattle in our spare time on a 10 acre ranchette.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but was a rebelious teen and strayed from the church as many do. At some point in my early to mid-teens, I gained a testimony of my own. Over the years I've grown close to the Savior only to drift away again. Eventually, I recognize my faults and turn to the Savior again. I hope that I have strayed away for my last time....... I've always had a testimony since I gained one of my own, but sometimes it is difficult to live the gospel. Over the years, I have felt God and our Savior, Jesus Christ, at work in my life many times. I KNOW he knows who I am and that he loves me. I KNOW that he is real. I KNOW that he loves each and every one of us. I KNOW that he is the Savior of all man kind. He has set forth a plan for us to return to him in heaven and if we live righteously, repent when we make mistakes, and endure to the end we can again live with him. I have felt his love. I have felt his peace. I have felt his kindness and generousity. I LOVE HIM! I look forward to the day I can throw my arms around him and tell him with my own voice, face to face, that I am grateful for all he has done for me.

How I live my faith

I am an assitant 11 year old scout leader and the secretary for one of the mens groups in my local congregation.
