Hi I'm Madi

I am a newlywed, psychology major, lacrosse coach, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In 2012, at the age of 22, I married a really cute boy I met in junior high. I am the oldest of six kids. I graduated from BYU in psychology with a minor in statistics and I also played on the women's lacrosse team while going to school. I am currently working at a residential treatment center for teenage girls and I love my job! There are very few things I love more than improving as an athlete and teammate! I love anything outdoors, including snowboarding and hiking (especially to waterfalls and hot springs). I love my family!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the Book of Mormon. I am so grateful for it! We have the opportunity to read every day in order to learn of Christ and in order to keep us safe and comfortable. My testimony of the Book of Mormon is so strong that whenever other aspects of my testimony fail, I can fall back on my testimony of the Book of Mormon and I know if it is true, then the rest of the gospel must be true too. A bad man could never write it and a good man never would unless it was truly from God.

How I live my faith

Because I live away at college, family home evening is held with other members of the ward instead of with your actual family. I am a group leader for family home evening. It is a common joke here to call the female leaders of the group "Mom." Every Monday, "Dad" and I plan a fun activity to get our group together to feel the Spirit. We have done things such as steal the flag, facials, corn mazes, and other fun activities. We start each meeting with a prayer and spiritual thought in order to keep the Spirit with us throughout our activity. It has been a blessing to get to know all the members of my family home evening group. It is full of other boys and girls around my age and they are always so enthusiastic and willing to help out with the activities and bring our group closer together. I try to look at the eternal perspective in everything I do. I know God doesn't care how good of a lacrosse player I am. He does care, though, about how I help other girls on the team feel His love, how hard I try and how much I learn, and how I help keep the team's values in unison with His.
