Hi I'm Amanda

I'm a homemaker, an avid cook and baker, a health nut, and a mom to a wonderful little boy...and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother, a wife, I love to cook and bake, I love to read, and am quite a neat freak. Before becoming a mother I worked for quite a few years in the corporate world and enjoyed a challenging career, but I always knew that when I became a mother I wanted to be home, raising our child. When our son was born the transition was harder than I had expected but knowing that I was raising a child of God and the joy I found in doing this gave me the perspective and understanding I needed. Now instead of days filled with meetings, power suits, and travel, they are filled with hugs and kisses, bath time, swingsets, strollers and so much love!

Why I am a Mormon

A few years before I was born my parents joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when two missionaries knocked on their door. How grateful I am to my Savior for sending those two young men to teach my parents! The gospel has always been a part of my life and I was blessed with a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel from a young age. It has enriched my life and brought so me so much joy! Now, as a mother, my greatest desire is to help my son come to know his Father in Heaven and his Savior and to know the joys of living the gospel.

How I live my faith

I am so blessed to work with the wonderful young women at church. They are so beautiful and full of life! I learn so much as I teach their classes on Sundays and spend time with them at their weekly activities. It's incredible to feel our Father in Heaven's love for them and to know that they are our leaders of tomorrow. It also challenges me to make sure that I am working to continually grow my own testimony to be able to set the right example for them. It's amazing how much our youth watch us! I love to feel their spirit and see their smiling faces every week. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve.
