Hi I'm Vicki

I grew up in the Kirtland, Mentor Ohio area.

About Me

I am a Wife, Mother, Grandma. I joined the church when I was 29 years old. I love doing anything creative. I love being a grandma. I love all outdoor sports. I love cooking and baking. I love nature, children, animals, music, the beach, traveling, doing new things, but mostly I love my family and my Heavenly Father. I grew up in Kirtland, Ohio and loved sketching the Kirtland Temple. When I was a teenager I used to spend alot of time in Kirtland, and never knew what a Mormon was. The area is a very special place to me and there was several places that we used to hike through that had a very sacred feeling. Now, I understand why.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was twenty nine years old, I was a single mother with three small children. I moved across the United Statesto be with my mother and sisters. After enduring many trials in my life, I started searching out different churches. At this same time, my friend who was a mormon, asked me if I would like to hear about the Gospel. She also introduced me to my husband, (he had custody of his six children). He came to all of our missionary discussions and we were baptised on Easter Sunday, just three months after meeting my husband. Charles and I were married that same year in August. We combined a family of nine children, and they were ages four to fourteen. We have now been married for twenty years, and have grandchild number eighteen on the way. I feel so blessed to know that I am a Child of God. The Gospel has changed my life in so many ways, and has given me a peace to know that he lives. I know that we are an Eternal family, and that through the blessings of the Gospel, I know that if I stay close to him in all that I do, me and my family for all generations of time will also be blessed.

How I live my faith

I am recently serving with the Young Women in our Ward, ages fourteen and fifteen. I do alot of traveling because my children and granchildren live in several different states. I was blessed to have many trials in my life to learn and grow from. Because of this, I have become increasingly close to my Heavenly Father. I am continually learning and growing in the Gospel and with my relationship with my Heavenly Father. No matter what the winds of life may bring, I know that I can turn to my Heavenly Father and find the peace that I need in my life.
