Hi I'm Kate

I'm an aspiring chef. I love to travel. I'm a Mainer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

What can I say? I love food. Growing up, my parents and I would all get together on the weekends and cook up a storm, comparing and perfecting recipes. This is how we bonded. So when the time came to choose what to do with my life, the choice seemed easy, culinary school. So I decided to go from living in a small town in Maine, to a bustling college campus in New York and attempt to become a chef. Five years later with a culinary and business degree in hand I am ready to conquer the world right? Wrong. Heavenly Father had a bit of a different plan for me which has led me to serving a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because no matter how hard I try I can never get away and thank goodness I can't. Growing up my mom was not a Mormon and my dad was. So every Sunday until I was 8 years old I would go either to the Methodist church or the Mormon church, and when I was 8 I had to make a choice about what church I wanted to join. Now I would love to say that I had a moment of spirtual enlightenment that led me to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, however it really was as simple as, the Mormon church wasn't boring, my real testimony of the church didn't come till much later. When I was a teenager I went through those soul searching struggles that many of us go through, trying to find out who I really was. I wound up finding my answer through my Faith. I found that the Book of Mormon has all the answers to any question I ever had, if I had the patience to look for it.

How I live my faith

Currently I am a Missionary serving in Montana.
