Hi I'm Kevin

I'm from Idaho. A returned missionary. Huge Boise State fan. I love sports, testifying of this gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student attending Utah State University with the hopes of becoming a physical therapist one day. I am married to a beautiful and amazing woman whom I love with all my heart. We have been married for two months now and trust me, we have one of the best love stories you have ever heard. I served a mission in the St. Louis Missouri mission and returned home in May 2013. I loved it there so much! I was born in La Grande, OR but moved to Caldwell, ID when I was 14. I lived in Mesa, AZ for about a year to work and save up for my mission before moving back to Idaho to start my mission papers. I love playing sports. Basketball and soccer are my favorites but anything that requires running around a lot count me in! I also like water sports such tubing and wake boarding. I like to hang out with friends and family and love being in the middle of everything, I love adventure and have lots of energy, sometimes a little too much. Very enthusiastic and outgoing, love meeting new people.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a lifelong member in the Church, born and raised. What has kept me strong in the church has been the gospel, the love of my family members, ward members, and the Savior's Atonement. Towards the end of my high school years and after high school, my testimony wasn't very strong and my choices showed that. Eventually, I hit rock bottom and knew that I needed to change my life. Without the gospel, my family, the members, and the Atonement I would not be the person who I am today. This experience helped me feel loved and forgiven and also made me want to go on a mission, so that others could feel the joy that I felt. Knowing what I know through this church gives me peace and comfort during tough times, that I know who I am and what direction I need to take my life in in order to find true happiness.

How I live my faith

I just try to live by example. As a member and/or a missionary, the world looks at everything you do so you definitely have do your best to follow Christ's example and stick to your beliefs even if it means standing alone

In whom should we have faith?

Kevin
Faith in Jesus Christ and His suffering for our sins, which we call the Atonement, in the central belief in everything that we do. That act alone is what keeps us going through the sad and difficult times. Because of Jesus Christ we have the opportunity to be able to return to live with our Heavenly Father again. Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Kevin
The authority to perform baptism is very important. Baptism isn't just a way to gain membership in a church, it is one of the ordinances necessary to return and live with our Heavenly Father again and the scriptures stress that. We as people have always trusted our most precious possesions to one with authority over it. For example we trust our money to a banker, our health to a doctor, when our life is on the line in a disaster we trust it to the police and firefighters. Our salvation should be more important than these things previously mentioned. If we truly treasure our salvation, we should make sure it is done right. Show more Show less
