Hi I'm Cameron

I grew up in Idaho farm country. I love sports, outdoors, motorcycles, classic cars, and... my family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in farm country. Potatoes and I became friends at an early age when I worked moving irrigation lines for local farmers. My father was an elementary educator. My mother stayed home and raised 9 children. They taught us kids the value of hard work and frugal living. We had a huge garden and typically some type of animal... a cow, pigs, chickens, or turkeys. Since my youth, I have loved playing sports and spending time in the outdoors. I am particularly fond of volleyball, tennis, and racquetball. I coach club volleyball and play tennis with church friends once a week. I have mountain biked in several states and hiked in several also. I think one of the best ways to get to know yourself and others is to spend at least 3 days backpacking. I also love motorcycles and classic cars. My brother and I still buy and sell classics to this day. We like to do this so we don't have to choose just one. Instead, we drive several different classics each year. I have a great family. I have a wife and two daughters. They make me the person I am and inspire me to do good. By the way, Potatoes and I are still friends and meet at least once a week.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is TRUTH! I was raised as a mormon, and I have never regretted it. Each time I pray the spirit confirms to me the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ, His doctrine and His character. I strive each day to be like him in word and deed. Being a Mormon isn't just a religion, it is a way of life. Being Mormon has helped me to overcome trials, build friendships, and avoid common pitfalls in the world. I love being Mormon because I am blessed with the Holy Spirit each day. Nothing beats feeling optimistic in the face of trials. The spirit energizes my soul and makes me strive to be a true follower of Christ.

How I live my faith

I have been involved on all levels in the church. Currently I help in directing the Missionary Work within my ward area. I am constantly talking to people about being a Mormon. I have found that almost everyone wonders why I am the person I am and what makes me "tick." I also have a passion for speaking to groups about the gospel. I love motivating and inspiring others and encouraging them to make positive changes in their lives. My goal is to help others feel the energy and enthusiasm found in the spirit.
