Hi I'm carrie

I am Canadian. I am a mother to 2 great boys. I am a wife to a wonderful man. I am a mormon.

About Me

I love the feeling that running gives me so I try to go frequently. I enjoy knitting and scrapbooking. I also love spending time with my awesome boys and talking with them about their goals and plans. I love the scouting program and the wonderful things my boys have learned and continue to learn.

Why I am a Mormon

When my first son was small, my husband and myself struggled financially to keep going. I had a lot of feelings of hopelessness and helplessness. I really felt trapped in despair. one day I saw the commercials for the church offering a free bible. I called and got one, when I got it I started to read it. Awhile after that I got a call from the church asking if I had got it and was I enjoying it. I told them yes. they asked me if I had heard of the book of mormon. I said no. they asked if I would like to have missionaries over to teach me. I said no. they called me 2 more times and on the third time I said yes. it was the best decision I ever made. 2 wonderful sisters came to my home and taught me the first discussion and gave me a copy of the book of mormon. they showed me some passages that were highlighted and asked me to read it. I did read it and not only did I read what they had noted for me I kept reading. when I read 3 nephi 13:31-34 I felt an immense weight lifted off me. I felt as though me Heavenly Father was talking to me and letting me know that it was okay, He knew me, He knew what I needed, He knew what I was going through and I only need turn to Him. He would support me because He loves me. I knew this was right and where I needed to be, for myself and for my boys. My husband is supportive to a point but is not a member so we are a part member family. I am so grateful for this gospel in my life and my boys life. I am so grateful for a Saviour that died for me and Heavenly Father that loves me and watches over me and my family.

How I live my faith

me and my boys are regulars at church and even though it is just us I try to have a regular family home evening every monday. we read scriptures during family home evening and I read on my own. I make sure to get my boys to all the church fuctions like scouts and mutual and youth things. even though I do not regularly attend relief society activities I still try to keep abrest of what they did.

What is faith?

I feel like it is putting the trust in Heavenly Father that He will listen to us, help us, and guide us even though we have not seen Him in the flesh or may never with our own eyes. Show more Show less
