Hi I'm Matthew

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am an American-Ecuadorian raised in Strasbourg, France and Honolulu, Hawaii. I love sports and music. I grew up playing the violin and tennis although I love all sports and most kinds of music. I love traveling and politics and studied International Relations prior to serving a full-time mission in Montreal, Quebec.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother met missionaries and later joined the church when she was younger and my father was raised in the church. Although my parents split up when I was very young, they both did a great job at teaching me good principles and taught me about God and prayer from a very young age. In my teens, I came to the point where I had to know for myself, so I did what Moroni ( a Book of Mormon prophet) invites us to do - that is to read, ponder and pray. By asking God with a sincere heart, true intent and faith, I received an answer. It was not an angel, a light or a voice, but it just was a feeling that I knew that this book had no other source than from God.

How I live my faith

I just try to live my life according to the principles that I know to be true. I don't feel like I have a restricted kind of life, quite the opposite. Being kind, nice, generous, benevolent are all traits that anyone, regardless of religion, knows to be good.
