Hi I'm Gregory

I am a platinum selling songwriter. I was in the United States Air Force. I love meeting new people. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a writer. What do I write exactly? Well, I am a lyricist/songwriter in the music industry and I have had several songs released with recording artists in international territories (ie. Germany, Switzlerland, Austria, United States, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Australia). Some of the songs I have written have been performed in front of thousands of people, have gone platinum, and have been heard by prominent individuals in the entertainment business. Outside of songwriting, I am working on my first science fiction book series and I am really excited with how it's progressing. I've always wanted to write books and my inspiration comes from a famous LDS author named Orson Scott Card. His style of writing and his interest in helping other writers find their voice brings great motivation to share with the world what stories and characters I can bring to life for them. So if all goes well with that, look for my name on a book or two one day.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised into the church, but I wasn't always an active member. As a kid, I didn't have my own testimony. I just went to church because that was expected of me. Unfortunately, that wasn't always the case because my family would be active, then somewhat active, until finally, not active at all. I think in the back of my mind, I knew the lord's church was true, but my testimony wasn't strong enough to create a firm foundation. So, instead of going on a mission, I joined the United States Air Force. Even while in the military, I still identified with the church, but it was more as an identity of being born in the church and not an identity of believing. My chaplain at my tech school turned out to be LDS and he did whatever he could do within his power to make sure I was doing okay and getting through training well enough. Still, while that helped me to attend church, my attendance was infrequent and I was too caught up in the ways of the world. Fast forward six years. I left the military and moved back to California to be close to family. I began attending my family's ward and met many wonderful people in our ward and in the stake. My testimony in the gospel didn't grow strong right away, but I kept attending. As I continued attending church, my testimony grew and I prayed for an opportunity to know with all my heart if I was in the Lord's church. Well, I am currently the second counselor of Sunday School in my ward and I know without a shadow of a doubt that THIS (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) is the true church. The truth is right in front of you. I invite you to see for yourself.

How I live my faith

I am the Second Counselor of my ward's Sunday School. Sometimes I step in to teach a class if the teacher isn't planning on being there on any given Sunday. I don't mind. I enjoy teaching the youth from time to time and I am open to any challenges that may come forth from teaching and overseeing the Sunday School. I have a habit of not knowing how to say no, so when my church leaders ask me to fill in for someone or fulfill some other purpose or function, before I exhibit a thought, my mouth is usually forming the word yes. I don't mind. I enjoy helping other people and putting a smile on other people's faces is well worth the service.
