Hi I'm Staci

I love to learn, read, and play piano and saxophone. I'm a music major! I'm a missionary! I absolutely love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a missionary! I'm serving in the Montana Billings Mission! I love sharing my testimony of this beautiful gospel! Before the mission, I was a music education major. Loved it! Music is such an amazing way to feel the Spirit. Life is wonderful! I love hamburgers, ice cream, cheesecake, and many other awesome foods :) I love to read and play sports!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it feels right and the Gospel makes sense. Some may say that those doctrines hold us back, but really, they set us free and lead to happiness. I want to be in control of my life instead of being controlled by addictions. Another reason it makes sense is the Plan of Salvation. I can't imagine my life without knowing where I came from, why I'm here, and where I go after death. My life wouldn't have a purpose if everything ended when I died. There wouldn't be any need to be a good person. It brings me peace knowing that my family who have passed on are working hard on the other side. I will see them again. Aside from making sense, it just plain feels right. Have you ever been comforted by the Spirit? Have you ever been helped? I have. When I think of this church, I feel peace. I feel a warmth that the world can't give me. I feel loved. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church. President Monson is a true prophet of God. He is the Lord's mouthpiece. I know Jesus is my brother. He suffered and died for all of our sins and infirmities. Without Him, we wouldn't be able to return home. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God. He saw Heavenly Father and Jesus in the Sacred Grove. He translated the Book of Mormon by the power of God. He restored this church. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. The church is true, all of it. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading the scriptures, praying, going to church and seminary, doing baptisms for the dead, and trying my best. I am not a perfect person. I never will be. However, I try. I try to live like Jesus did. I try to be kind to people. I do my best. When I mess up, I get on my knees and pray. I live my faith by learning the Gospel. I ponder it, and I live by it's teachings. I live my faith by practicing my faith. I've been through a lot of trials in the last couple of years. Instead of turning away from Heavenly Father and Christ, I turned to them. I leaned on them, and I received strength from them. Sometimes I struggle, but I never stop trusting in my Heavenly Father. In a moment of doubt, I turn to the scriptures, prayer, and my own experiences. This Church is all about work. It's not an easy church to live by. But, it's worth it to know the things the Gospel teaches us. That is why I will never stop living my faith. I am currently living my faith by serving the Lord on a mission! I am serving in the Montana Billings Mission! I love it so much! It is such an honor and pleasure serving the Lord's children everyday!

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Staci
Women don't hold the Priesthood because the Lord gave that responsibility to the men. That knowledge should be good enough for everyone. Women are not second class citizens in the Lord's eyes. He loves us just as much as He loves His sons. Also, the only way we can gain exaltation is together. A man and a woman need to be sealed together before they can enter the Celestial kingdom. Men and women work together! Trust the Lord enough not to question His ways! Show more Show less
