Hi I'm Cheryl

I'm a Mormon. I grew up on a farm in Utah.

About Me

I worked many years as a clinical microbiologist and then one day I retired, we sold our home, moved, and went on a mission. I have been living the good life ever since. I am not wealthy but I have everything that I want. I love to quilt and crochet although my hands don't work so well any more. I scrap book and do Sudoku. I exercise with a group of ladies three days a week. I am blessed with wonderful children and grandchildren. I am an optimistic, happy person. I like people and animals and computers and pushing buttons (I have made many problems for myself by pushing too many computer buttons too many times. Oh, well.)

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a Mormon. I know this is the only true church. That is not to say that there aren't other good people and churches out in the world. I know that there are wonderful people and churches. I have a neighbor who is a member of a prayer circle and I know her prayers are answered too. I know our Heavenly Father loves all of us. I also know that as a member of this church I can have the Gift of the Holy Ghost with me always. I know that this church has the true priesthood authority that blesses my life every day. I have read the Book of Mormon many times and each time I feel that it is truly a testament of Jesus Christ as is the Bible. The Book of Mormon makes the messages of the Bible more understandable. I know we have on going revelations as part of this church and a true prophet of God to lead us. Our prophet and church leaders are inspired with messages to make our lives better. As time goes by I feel stronger in my belief in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a good person. I try to be friendly to everyone as I know we are all brothers and sisters. I love to visit teach the three assigned ladies in my church, build friendships, and be of service to them. I like to participate in service projects. I have learned to set up and tie quilts for humanitarian service. I have helped in an employment resource center where we taught people to do resumes and interview effectively. It is fun to help people help themselves and watch their growth in confidence and ability. I look for opportunities to tell others about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I want them to share my joy, comfort and faith.
