Hi I'm Trisha

I am a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a friend and a hairstylist. Each one makes up my wonderful life! ...and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a happy family environment and am now trying my best to replicate that in my own home and family. I am a wife to an amazing man that continues to make me the happiest woman each and every day. I am a mom to a little girl that is more precious to me than I could possibly put into words. Together, as well as all my family, they are my whole world. Unfortunately, we can not live in our own happy bubble though. Life is still going on around us. My husband is finishing up his last semester of college. And I work when he is not at school as a hairstylist. I love my job, but can not wait for it to be more of a hobby so I can permanently be home helping and hoping to raise happy, good kids. I love to spend family time watching movies, playing games, spending time outside going on hikes and just being surrounded by this beautiful world we live in. I love anything crafty and decorating our home and life. I enjoy reading books and making yummy things to eat... mostly the eating part! All in all, it is the simple things in life that matter to me most and that I find the most happiness in.

Why I am a Mormon

I recently heard a talk given in a church meeting where this brother stated that a testimony is simply knowing that life is better when you are living the gospel. This is such a simple statement but to me it had a huge impact. I have thought about his words more in depth and how they relate to my own experiences and testimony and i could not agree with him more! Life is not always easy when i am living the gospel standards but yet no matter the trials and hardships, when I am being obedient and following the counsel from our prophet and leaders, I could not be happier. I feel at peace and calm. I know that my heavenly father knows me and loves me and is continually being mindful of me and my desires. He knows me better than I know myself! He knows what I need and when I need it and how I need it. I have lived by a quote ever since i was a little girl and that is, "What's meant to be will be for everything happens for a reason". Nothing in this life is chance or punishment or luck. My Heavenly Father is trying to bless me and make me stronger and pushing me to grow. Unfortunately, we often grow best through trials and struggles and low times in our life for that is when we are humbled the most and can look to our savior for his example and mercy. But i believe that for no other reason do we go through these struggles. There is always something to be learned and something greater that Heavenly Father is preparing us and making us better for. Ultimately that is to live with Him again through eternity. I have a testimony in eternal families and am so grateful for that blessing. My family is so precious to me and knowing that I can be with them forever gives me such peace and hope. I know that the only way I can achieve this eternal happiness is through my savior. He is always there for me to turn to and will help me repent of my sins and through his sacrifice and mercy I can become as he is.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by doing what I know is right. Each day I have to start fresh and try to improve myself and be better than I was yesterday. Slow progression and sometimes not even an upward movement but I know there are many things to help me get back on track and be better. I can study my scriptures and pray to my Heavenly Father each day. Weekly, my family tries to get together for family night. This habit is so much fun and has proven to have a huge impact on our family and me as an individual. I also choose to go to church each Sunday to hear the thoughts of those around me that will help me personally and that in turn I can maybe help someone else. I serve as a teacher for the 7 and 8 year olds and I absolutely love it! I have found so much more joy in this calling then I ever thought I would. By living my faith it impacts my life immensely and I know that it can make me a better person for doing so.
