Hi I'm Austin

I am a student currently living in San Antonio. I am a wrestler, and i love to eat. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. I lived in several other places in Utah in my infant years, and then my family moved to North Carolina. From there we went to Houston, Texas where I went to almost all of elementary. When I was about to go to into the 5th grade we moved to Austin, Texas. I did most of my "growing up" years in Austin, and it's in Austin where I have most of my most fun memories. After my freshman year my family moved to San Antonio where I have been living the past year and a half or so. I am in to making short films with friends, and am also involved in film for school. One of my jobs is filming football games, i really enjoy it because I get the opportunity to get paid to do something that i love. In addition to film i also enjoy photography, I am not the best but I am working to get better at it. I'm also a wrestler for my high school, my weight is 170...well after I cut some it will be. I'm not really that involved in any other extra-curricular activities in school, i was in band for a few years, but that's done with now. It wasn't really my thing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family with parents that are both very strong members of the church. So that's just how i grew up. I'm very glad that I was born into the church because it has made my life so much easier. It's nice to have the holy spirit with you at all times to help you make the best choices you possibly can. I have a testimony that all the teachings of the church are true and that we have a living prophet that gets everything he tells us from God.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday, I go to seminary every morning at 6 A.M., and I go to mutual every Wednesday night. I do lots of different service projects with my ward as well, from picking up logs in a park to cleaning an elderly woman's gutters out, and I enjoy every bit of it. I try to live a good, clean life by abstaining from drugs and alcohol and keeping myself in good situations. I keep myself morally clean, and people respect me for it because it's what I really want. I love to help others with their problems when they need it, and I will always try my best to be a good friend.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

The word of wisdom is a list of things that we should not partake to maintain our physical, mental, and spiritual health. Some people think that the word of wisdom is old fashioned or even irrelevant to peoples lives to day. But if you really look at just the physical health aspect of the word of wisdom you can really see why it's there for us: you will live a longer, and more healthy life no question about it.
