Hi I'm Whitney Dunn

I love to laugh, spend time with family & friends, and most importantly, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student studying to become an RN, and I can't wait! I'm currently working and there I get to meet a variety of people. I'm not a very loud person but I really do enjoy talking and listening to others. I just recently started coaching lacrosse for young kids and enjoy every moment with them. My favorite sport to play and teaching entertaining kids. . . it's the best! My family likes to do activities together like snowboarding, wakeboarding, and riding dirt bikes. In my down time, I like to spend time with family and close friends, read, exercise (run), watch a good flick, bake/cook, organize and clean rooms. I promise, I just like things to look nice! I hope someday, that I will grow to be someone great and make a positive difference in the lives around me.

Why I am a Mormon

As a young girl, I got to see first hand how families functioned, with and without the gospel. I realized how blessed I was to be in a family who valued each others relationships. I knew that the gospel is what gave my family, and other families, genuine joy. I took the initiative to really take the steps to building a strong foundation and gaining my own testimony for myself of Jesus Christ and His church. By reading the Book of Mormon and praying to my Heavenly Father, I could feel the love He had for me and knew I had to live faithfully unto Him. It changed my way of thinking in every little thing I do and say. I understand how important it is to obey His commandments through scripture and the words of out Latter-Day Prophets. By really living the standards of the gospel, whether it be by serving others or studying and living by the teachings, I can see the blessings that I receive and of others so clearly. By studying the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon throughout my life, I came to know that both books are true and that the prophet, Joseph Smith, restored the gospel to the earth. I know that only through our Heavenly Father and the atonement, we have the opportunity to be more like our Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving those around me. Whether it be an ear to listen, someone to talk to, or just caring for someone. I am part of a service committee that organizes events for people to participate and serve others. We invite people to participate these service projects to improve lives around our community. I also visit teach other women by building friendships and getting to know each girl. I want each one to know how much they are loved and know that I am there for them in anytime of need. I strive to be more Christ-like in everything I do. I know that charity is the pure love of Christ.
