Hi I'm Lance71

I grew up in Colorado. I'm a Dad, Husband, Brother and a Son. I love my family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and a father of three. I love the outdoors. I love to be in the outdoors hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping. I have a hard job, and I work 50-60 hours a week on the average, but do not receive overtime pay. The most important things in my life are my knowledge that Jesus Christ is my Savior and redeemer, that he lives and that my family and I can be together forever. My family is the most important thing after my testimony of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. I want to be with them forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an LDS family, but when I was a teenager I had to decide for myself if it was true. I took many paths searching for the truth and made a lot of bad decisions until I realized that what I was looking for was happiness and peace. I found both in living the teachings of Jesus Christ. I prayed to know if Joseph Smith was a prophet called of God to restore his church here on the earth. My prayer was answered, and I know that this church is true. Peace and happiness have been my companions as I have chosen to live the Gospel standards. My testimony of Jesus Christ and Heavenly father have been an anchor in many whirlwinds and storms of life. The Atonement is real and we can all be forgiven of anything we have done. My name is Lance and I am a father, a husband, a hard worker and I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to serve others as Jesus served me. He was the greatest of all, yet he gave his life for me... a sinner. He gave his life for you. Sometimes it feels that others do not serve others, or that they are selfish. When I feel this way I try to remember that Jesus did not let the actions of others deter him from serving and fulfilling the mission he was sent to earth to do.

What are some of the ways that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps those around the world?

The gospel of Jesus Christ teaches that people should bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). Throughout the world, when communities suffer major disasters and face difficulties beyond their ability to meet, the Church is prepared to offer assistance contributed by its members. The aid helps people who are in need, without regard to religious affiliation, ethnicity, or nationality. Humanitarian assistance has reached 147 countries and is valued at tens of millions of dollars annually. Latter-day Saint Charities is a Church organization that: Distributes food. Provides assistance in times of disaster such as volunteers to help in cleanup, the use of chapels for shelter, as well as food, water, and medical supplies free of charge. Funds and encourages projects that benefit stricken communities. Teaches self-reliance. Helps people begin small business enterprises in their own homes. Show more Show less
