Hi I'm Cindy

I am a convert to the church. I am a wife, mother, grandmother and work full time. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am 55 years old. I have 4 children, 8 step children and 11 step grandchildren. I was divorced about 3 years ago from a marriage of almost 18 years. I remarried 2 1/2 years ago. I still have children at home so I am a full time Mom and work full time. I am the only member of my family, other than my own children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have been given a testimony of the truthfulness of this church. I di not attend much church when growing up. As I became older I realized I needed a church in my life. I believed in God and wanted that to be more a part of me. I went to several different denominations, but none felt right. I was introduced to the church by my ex-husband and his family, who were life-time members. They gave me a Book of Mormon and asked me to read it and pray about it. I did read it, from cover to cover in a short period of time. I had never prayed before and decided to kneel and pray to see if what I was reading was true. I knew without a shadow of a doubt that this was the true church of Jesus Christ that existed on the earth today. I knew this is where I belonged. It was the best thing that could have ever happened to me in my life. This church answered all my questions and helped me establish a relationship with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have remained active in the church for the last 22 years. I have accepted many callings in the church which enable me to serve others. Currently I am the President of the Relief Society which is the women's group of the church. I am president in my ward. I attend church regularly on Sundays and any other meetings I am needed. I attend the temple regularly. I read the scriptures and say my prayers every day. We have Family Night once a week as recommended by our leaders.
