Hi I'm Steve

I'm a Mormon. I was born in Washington but moved many times. No matter where, the church was there for me, same great people.

About Me

I love to stay busy. I always have a "Project" underway. In 2011 I built a greenhouse and love to garden. I work as a handyman doing small projects. I love this as it give me opportunities to meet many people in all walks of life. My profession was in the structural and miscellaneous steel as an estimator and project manager. I continue to weld and build trailers and other items for others. Fishing is one of my favorite pastimes. I serve in the scouting program and also work in the Spokane Washington Temple. This helps me to keep spiritually minded with recognition of the Lords hand in all that I do and who I am.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to be born into a family already members of the true church of God. I was baptized at 8 years of age, but like most individuals, I never really gained a testimony till later in life. I served a mission for the church in Germany and there found that the church was true by reading and diligently praying to know for myself so I could bear witness to others. I have experienced the "Gift of Tongues" as the Lord helped me communicate with the people of Germany in their own language. I have witnessed miracles of healing and seen the lives of others change as they grew to know their Savior. If the desire to know the truth is there, He will show you the way. All you have to do is study and ask in His name and He will answer.

How I live my faith

I am aware the others watch my actions and make judgements. We all do as we meet other people. In my work, language can sometimes be rough and crude. People soon recognize that I don't participate in such activites and amazingly enough respect me by changing their behavior when around me. I work with the young men in scouts, the future leaders, providing great princilpes and creating good characters that will last with these young men through all their lives. I provide service to those in my area, not just family members, but also to my community. The principles that I have been taught throughout my life as a member of this church help me to know how to act and treat others the way that I would like to be treated.
