Hi I'm Kimberly

I've scuba dived the oceans of the world. I've jumped out of planes at 10,000 feet. I'm a sister, a daughter, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a social butterfly. I am a lover of movies, dancing, and a Padre fan to the core. Nothing fascinates me more then discovering new places, trying new foods, & learning about other cultures. I love to travel and take in the world and its talents with my own eyes. I can never get enough chocolate and I am blessed to discover life with my family and friends. The church is a part of my foundation that allows me to be active and enjoy my favorite past times.

Why I am a Mormon

If someone were to ask me what I am most proud of in my life, it wouldn't be my job or my college education. It wouldn't be my car or the clothes on my back. It would be my decision to dedicate my life to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Although it was a long journey, I found my truth of the Book of Mormon and all that it entails. I have witnessed its teachings and blessings through my own life and continue to hold strong to the testimony of its truthfulness. For the first time in my life, it feels like I have answers. There was a point in my life were I began to question who I was and why I was on this earth. My Christian upbringing gave me the knowledge of a Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. But as maturity set in, I found that there were many questions that could not be answered. I began to witness the struggle between the power of God and man and struggled with the knowledge of being apart of man's church, not God's church. I started to investigate The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and immediately felt a new sense of peacefulness and sense of purpose growing within me. With every small step, I began to notice the many blessings that came with living the Gospel. I found that the truth was too big to ignore. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has given me my plan of salvation. It did not matter what I had done in the past, but only how I chose to live going forward. By following the guidance of the church, its leaders, and the Holy Ghost, I know that life will be full of happiness and service to those around me. I can share the gift of joy that has been given to me in my life. As I read the Book of Mormon today, answers continue to unfold and I am constantly being filled with the light of Christ. He loves me and knows me personally. I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church on this earth because I have received the personal revelation in my prayers.

How I live my faith

The church has continued to bless my life with peace, joy, knowledge, and purpose since my baptism in 2008. I have learned that if I try to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ, with a pure and honest heart, I can grow closer to Him. I know that I will never be perfect and that I will always make mistakes, but the more I learn of Him and follow His commandments, the more I know He loves me for me and all the imperfect qualities I hold. It is through service and keeping my covenants that I grow in my faith. It is important for me to read my scriptures and put others before myself. I try to give my all in being a good friend and daughter. Through community service, I can give others what I have been blessed with in my life. My church callings give me the opportunity to grow with others and create friendships to enrich my life and the lives of others. As a daughter of God, I can reach out to my fellow neighbors and friends and help them with their trials and share in their happiness. I have the faith and testimony that if I hold fast to the principles I have been taught, I will return to him one day and the church has shown me the road to follow. Without the church in my life, I would feel lost. But with it, I know that I am found.
