Hi I'm Shannon

I'm a returned missionary, I'm a mother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Like a lot of members of our faith, I was baptized when I was eight years old. When girls in our church turn twenty-one we are able to serve a mission, if you choose to do so, and I did. I served my mission in Jacksonville, Florida and it was a wonderful experience! When I returned home I married on of my closest friends, Jeff and we now have a nine month old son, who is such a blessing in our lives! I enjoy cooking/baking, art, music, playing the piano and guitar, shopping and spending time with family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is truly another testament of Jesus Christ, and a companion to the Bible. I believe that Joseph Smith was visited by our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ and that he was given the power and teachings to restore the Church of Christ. I believe that we have a living prophet on the earth today who receives revelation and guidance from God to help us in these latter-days. I know these things to be true because I have prayed about them and received personal revelation from the Holy Spirit to know. I believe that the Lord wants all of us to know the truth and he has provided the means necessary to make that possible.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by accepting and providing in the callings of the church that I am asked to serve. I have been a teacher to the young women of the church. My husband and I have served in the nursery program and loved it! I enjoy visiting other women in my ward and helping them in their daily lives and sharing messages of the gospel with them. I also think it's important to show my belief outside of church by being a good example to those around me, and trying to help others who are in need.
