Hi I'm Ellie

I am a mom of 3, a Nana of 4, I love life and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Provo Utah and grew up on a fruit farm in Orem. I graduated from Orem High School and attended Brigham Young University. I have been married 29 years to an amazing man and we have reared 3 children. I have 4 grandchildren and love the livin' daylights right out of them. We have lived in Arizona for 19 of 29 years, spending the other 10 years in Austin where my testimony grew and was shored up. I love anything that has to do with art, music, children, fast cars, sky diving, and life's edgy experiences. I love life and people and when this sojourn is done I so look forward to going home.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church, but had to gain my own testimony. Life and the choices I've made have blessed me with a unique journey. I used to look on life's trials as trials. I don’t any longer; I see them as opportunities for growth, to become as our Savior was, is, and wishes for us to be. I chose a life-time mission. My husband is not a member of our faith, but he is an amazing man. He is most definitely my better half. The church and my beliefs have been the glue that have held our marriage together through the ups and downs of rearing our 3 children. The gospel gives me hope; it has blessed my life in some dark times. The knowledge I have gained: that our Father in Heaven and his son, our Savior Jesus Christ, know us by our names, know our pains, sorrows, worries, and fears is priceless to me and has been such a comfort through difficult times. I know He lives; I know he hears and answers prayers, that he stands ready to answer our call, to comfort and guide us; he loves us beyond our wildest imagination and I can do nothing that will remove that love. I know He lives, that He is the one in charge. All we have to do is seek him out and obey his commandments. I am so grateful for the gift of the Atonement for I am far, far from perfect. I love the gospel and the knowledge that I will one day live with our Father and Jesus Christ again -- if I do my part; that my family will be an eternal family some day.

How I live my faith

I try very hard to live what I believe every day. I am not perfect, but being a member with a non-member sweetheart gives me the opportunity to work harder to be as the Savior would have me be. I have loved the opportunities to serve in the church and try to be of service in my community -- to love and help my neighbors. I love to give from my heart and love, I believe, is the ultimate gift.
