Hi I'm Peiter (Peter)

I'm from Arizona. I love playing video games. I'm the 2nd oldest of 4. I am cerrently serving a 2 year Mission. I'm Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Arizona for the most part of my life. I have had meany intrest like Band (Marching, and Concert), Theater, and Tecnology. I am contimplating getting a degree in gaming because I really enjoy it. While growing up, I partisipated in the Boy Scouts and was able to achive the Eagle Scout Award. Having the determination to try to obtain that rank was difficalt, but it did teach me that nothing in life that is worth having is easy to obtain. it is only through the strugle that we really appreciate that which we sought to attain.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was younger, I did not care too much about the church. I just went through the motions and that was how it went. eventualy I finally relised that I could not remain in a state of passive whateverisem. I prayed to God for an answer and it came. It came slowly, bit by bit. the biggest part was when I was contemplating a mission. I was talking to a man who was not a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and he resoned that it would probably be more better for me to go to school first, then serve a mission. I thought about it and realised the expereanses that I would put off if I when on a mission. I also saw the strenth that a mission would give me. I was having a tough time whith this choise. I desided to go on a mission and if it was not worth the time, I would come home early. before I turned my papers in, I drempt a dream in which I was in a big room full of people. on my lap was a note book that had a few lines of writting. It was all blury except for two words, the name, Jesus Christ. I let the dream fade from my mind, but remembered it less then a week into the mission field. the dream became real and at that time I came to the Knowledge that this is indeade Christ's true church again on the earth.

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving as a missionary for the lord Jesus Christ. those people that walk around in sutes and name tags, yep I'm doing that. it is really interesting some of the responses we get and the people we talk to. when it comes down to it we are not here to change your faith. we are here to express or love for the lord, to testify what we belive to be truth, and if you what to change, we can help. A leader in one of the wards I have served in put it simply when he said, "This is what we belive, you go to god and ask him if it is true." I testify that if you ask with the intent to act on the response, then the lord will give you an answer.

Are Mormons Christians?

Peiter (Peter)
we are most sertanly christans. the definition for christan is some one who belivese that christ lived for, and died for us. they also try to live like he lived and follow his example. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints bares his name and we teach our children of him, that they may know to whom they must turn for a remision of sins. try to be more like christ and to let others know of the happieness we have, for we truly live after the manner of happyness. Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Peiter (Peter)
because of a multitude of reasons. some because they don't understand what we are about. some because they want others to stay away from us or to conform more with what they believe. other religions believe us to be unorthodox in some of our beliefs like the fact we believe that God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are three different people. the gospel of Matthew teaches that "16, ...Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo,... the spirit of God descending like a dove,...lighting upon him: 17,...a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son,..."(Matthew 3:16-17). we know the truth of these things, not because we are foolish, but because we ask God, in the name of Christ, if anything and everything that we believe is true. we do get an answer from the Holy Ghost of its truthfulness, and then we will act on that answer. we invite all to do the same.
