Hi I'm Jared Griffes

I grew up in a small town in Michigan. Served as a full time missionary for two years. I'm an IT Guy, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently attending college going for an Information Technology major. I've loved working with computers since I was quite young, and actually like fixing other people's computers for fun. I'm a fairly avid Gamer (PC), and am currently stuck on Starcraft 2. I love being outdoors, and especially going shooting. I'm currently engaged, and loving every minute of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (ie, Mormons), so I attended with my family my entire young life. The simple fact that attending church was a regular thing in my family was never sufficient for me, so I decided to find out why I should WANT to be a member. I began to study things out for myself, especially reading from the Book of Mormon, and prayed about it. I received a witness from the Holy Spirit of God that the things I had learned as I was growing up were true, and that they could bring me true happiness in my life if I worked hard to live them.

How I live my faith

I always work to have everything I do in my life reflect that I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and a true follower of Christ. I work to make all those around me comfortable around me, and work to be kind and supportive of them. On a monthly basis I visit 5 individuals with another young adult my age to assure that they're doing well in their lives, and have everything they need. I've been participating in this service since I was very young, and I've seen how it has been a help and a blessing to the people I've visited (and provided service for).
