Hi I'm Jordan

I am a Missionary in the great state of North Carolina. I love to be positive :) I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a happy person who enjoys looking at the glass half-full. I was studying to be a nurse before I took some time off to serve a full-time mission for the Lord. I love being in North Carolina! It's the best. I love spending time with my family doing just about anything from chatting to playing games to laughing until late hours of the night. I love my dogs. They really are man's best friend. I want to help people and brighten their day somehow. I think that ice cream is God's gift to us here on earth.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I'm a Mormon....that's a very good question. I was born into a family who believed that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the Lord's church once again established on the earth. My family helped to instill in me the values that I treasure today. Since I have been serving as a missionary I have met so many different cultures and walks of faith. I am a Mormon because I see the light come on in others when the find the true gospel of Jesus Christ. So many things I have always taken for granted and that that was just how life was. Then I see others come to the light of the gospel and realize the truth I've always had. Isn't it wonderful? I am a Mormon because I know our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us and that they want us to have all the happiness that we can attain. Those doctrines that bring us ultimate joy are found in the teachings of His church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a full-time representative of the Lord Jesus Christ. Always striving to do what he would do and say what he would say. I get to share my testimony in small and large ways with the great people I associate with in North Carolina. I try to remember the teachings of the Lord as found in the scriptures and through his modern witnesses and to emulate them. The biggest way I try to live my faith and be like Christ is through being peaceful and positive.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

I've met many people who don't believe in a God. But I do. Not because I've seen His face or heard His voice speaking directly to me. I believe there is a God because of the tiny details of my life that work out just the way they are supposed to when no one else in the world could have known. I know there is a God when I read something in the scriptures and it stands out to me because of a problem I haven't voiced out loud or a question I need answered. He works all around us if we only will see. Show more Show less

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

I love my lifestyle. My belief in the Savior Jesus Christ and His teachings are literally apart of my everyday life. I still enjoy doing all the things that other people do like going to school, enjoying hobbies and being with family and friends. The teachings I value help me to have greater control over my ability to choose righteous uplifting things. I stay away from situations that cause heartache or trouble as much as possible because I know there is much more freedom and greater peace living as Christ has taught. Show more Show less
