Hi I'm Jessica

Wife to one dreamy cowboy. Step mom. Mother of two buckaroos. I'm one lucky lady and yes I'm A Mormon!

About Me

I love my family!! I have been blessed with an amazing husband. Our posterity has multiplied by two... one set of boy/girl twins! Life is crazy and busy, but we are healthy and happy :) I find the greatest joy in my role of wife, mother and homemaker. I love the outdoors and the four changing seasons. I am lucky to call the White Mountains of AZ my home. I heart music. I am learning to be crafty and will "repurpose" most anything. I live for date night! I tend to make lists and enjoy the sense of accomplishment I get when checking things off. I love a challenge. I believe it is a privilege to work. I enjoy watching rodeos. I love hunting with my husband. I am proud to be an American and enjoy the freedoms I have been blessed with. I am thankful for the peace and comfort the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings into my life and home!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Mormon church. I've always known it to be true, but didn't realize how much I relied on my parents testimonies until after I left home. While I could have chosen an easier path, the choices I made during that time ultimately led me to one of my greatest blessings... my future husband! After we were married we desired to be sealed in the temple for time and eternity and committed to live our lives according to the teachings of Jesus Christ. It was during this time that I was truly "converted" and gained a strong testimony of my own. I know that there is a Father in Heaven who knows me and loves me. That he sent his Son, the Savior Jesus Christ, to atone for my sins so that I can return to live with him. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that we have a living prophet that leads and guides us today. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and it can help us overcome unbelievable obstacles in our lives. I am thankful for the Plan of Salvation and the knowledge that families can be together forever. It truly is a Plan of Happiness and that is why I'm a Mormon!!

How I live my faith

I believe that teaching my children the gospel of Jesus Christ is my greatest calling. In our home we strive to have family prayers, family scripture reading and family meals on a daily basis. We devote special "Family Nights" to learning more about Jesus and having fun as a family. We work together and we serve each other. On Sunday we attend all three hours of church and remember to keep the Sabbath day holy. I believe it's important to have an attitude of gratitude and we take time every day to be grateful for the many blessings that Heavenly Father has given us! It's a work in progress, but I'm confident we are building a firm foundation for our children so that when the time comes and they are faced with difficult decisions they won't have any problems standing for what they believe in!
