Hi I'm Kelly

I'm a Mormon. I'm from Arizona and am a college professor.

About Me

I love learning, not just formal education but practical lessons too. I enjoy reading and cooking. I love the outdoors and just hiked the Grand Canyon. In my free time I like to go out with my friends and try new restaurants. My favorite guilty pleasure is traveling. I have visited 42 of the United States and 10 countries outside of the US.

Why I am a Mormon

I have found peace and happiness in living the gospel of Jesus Christ. My relationship with my Savior helps me through the hard times. My understanding of the gospel helps give me hope and keeps my experiences in perspective.

How I live my faith

The gospel is completely intertwined with how I live my life. Each day I start and end the day with prayers to God. I also study scripture daily. Within my ward I am a leadership position in the local women's organization (the Relief Society). This means that I help watch over and care for the women in my area. This may mean visits to those who are sick or need some extra help in the home. I also help coordinate the women who are teachers in the weekly Sunday meetings. I don't just help women in my church, I also volunteer in the local community.
