Hi I'm Maria Castaneda

I grew up in Aguascalientes Mexico, I'm a happy mother of 3 beautiful daughters and I LOVE to read, and i'm a Mormon.

About Me

My life is filled with many blessings. I was raised in Aguacalientes, a small town in Mexico with some of the most beautiful landscapes i've ever seen. I love spending time with my family, my sister, and my extended family. I love being outdoors surrounded by the mountains, lakes, rivers, and all of the beautiful things this earth has to provide. The fall season brings me so much joy. Reading is my favorite hobby! I love genres that include religion, love, drama, suspense, non ficition, etc.My favorite books are the Twilight saga! I'm a movie lover, although books always explain the story better. I love being happy, and there's so many things in this life that brings me happiness. It's all about the way you look at things. Being positive in everything and looking at the glass half full, is the source of my joy in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member because this Gospel has everything that my spirit needs, and fills it completely. Since I have known the Church, I can't imagine my life without it. To me, being a mormon, is not only about saying we're members of the church, but its a complete lifestyle. It makes me really happy to know that I have the oppurunity to be with my family forall time and eternity, that I have a heavenly father who loves me and knows me by name, and that Christ loved me so much that he suffered an unspeakable agony for me. This Gospel brings perfect peace and joy to a not so perfect life. The Gospel gives me the knowledge of who I am and where I am going to go after this life.

How I live my faith

The most important part of my faith, is serving. I love the oppurtunity that I have everyday to learn more and more on how to serve. What I have learned most since I have been a member, is that when you're really lost in service, it no longer feels like you're serving someone, but instead it makes it a pleasure. When we work with the youth or children of this generation, you learn something new everyday. You learn patience, love and more importantly how to communicate with our future generations. It teaches us to gain a desire to have a better relationship with God. I live my Faith, by living day by day with my family and living the standards of the church. Through prayer, scripture study, attending church, and living up to all the values our church has in set for us. I live my faith by being part of a family that extends much more beyond my husband and daughters. I know I have hundreds, thousands of brothers and sisters who will always be there for me.
