Hi I'm Ken

I am a husband and father, a writer and runner, a gardener and accountant and of course I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Born and raised in Utah but I have also lived in Idaho, Nevada and Arizona since. I enjoy reading and good movies that are well written. My wife is my best friend and I cannot imagine being without her. What a blessing it is to have second chances in life especially when those second chances helped us to find each other. Between the two of us we have 6 children that fill our lives with happiness and our prayers with love and concern. Each is unique and special in their own way with their own challenges. Each reaches the depths of our hearts in times when we least expect it.

Why I am a Mormon

The miracle of forgiveness is one of the major reasons why I am a Mormon. To know that I can be forgiven of my weaknesses and short comings when I repent of them is comforting to me. I never realized how much my Father in Heaven me until I desperately needed His forgiveness and help in overcoming my weaknesses. To know that there is a God in Heaven and that He loved me as well as many others enough to send his Son here to this earth to pay the price for our sins is humbling indeed.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by spending time the scriptures on a regular basis listening to what my Father in Heaven has to say to me. I love writing in my journals as well where I have learned to record the sacred things that I experience in my life each day, impressions I get from reading the scriptures and things that I am grateful for. Through these three journals I have drawn closer to God by being able to recognize His hand in my life and by being able to recognize answers to my prayers. It is amazing the things that you can learn by looking for the good around you and by serving others.
