Hi I'm Beth Anne

I'm a Wisconsin native studying Special Education at BYU-Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Central Wisconsin. I joined the church when I was 18 years old and was previously Catholic. I attended a state college for two years, but then stopped once I realized I didn't know what I wanted to do anymore. I then got a full time job working as a CNA with teenagers and adults with developmental disabilities. I knew immediately that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I now am a student at Brigham Young University-Idaho. I love reading, theatre and photography.

Why I am a Mormon

In August 2008, a year after I joined the church, two of my friends died in a car accident. I couldn't understand why they died if there was a God. I decided I no longer believed in God. By January, I finally realized their was a God, but I was still very angry at Him. I went through a period of considering myself agnostic and then investigating other religions. I came home from college that May. One of my lds friends tried to get me to come to church. I kept making excuses, but finally gave in after a month. That Sunday I sat in sacrament meeting and I suddenly felt God's love for me. I knew that he not only forgave me for my sins, but he loved me so much and wanted me to be happy. I am so thankful to have the church in my life and the many blessings I have received.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading the scriptures, praying often, and trying to live my life like Jesus Christ.
